SASKATOON STUDIO VISIT REGISTRY

Make Work Projects invites professional Saskatoon-based visual artists to submit a portfolio to our Saskatoon Studio Visit Registry.

The Studio Visit Registry database will be made available to select local, national, and international arts professionals (curators, arts writers, senior visual artists, researchers, and art critics) interested in visiting local artists studios. Visiting arts professionals will use the registry to select artists they art interested in meeting with. We also will make the database, from time to time, available to partner organizations. Portfolio submissions are currently accepted on an ongoing basis.


ELIGIBILITY

Artist must live in Saskatoon and surrounding area.

Portfolios will be accepted from Emerging and Established Professional Visual Artists.

Visual Art, for the purpose of this call, is defined as a practice such as drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, installation, interarts, performance art, video, and electronic media.

Established Professional Artists will have produced a significant body of work in their discipline over a number of years; made a contribution regionally, nationally, or internationally to their discipline; and are making a sustained and progressive contribution to the art form.

Emerging Professional Artists will have completed training in their discipline through formal or informal studies or apprenticeships, are recognized by their peers as having achieved the level of emerging professional in their field, and have attained critical recognition for a body of work that demonstrates their emerging professional status. Undergraduate students registered in an arts discipline are not eligible to participate, graduate students are eligible for some calls.

CV - maximum of 5 pages - PDF format

Visual Documentation - up to 10 JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) images OR 2 MEDIA (.mov .mp4 .m4a) files

Founded in 2010, Make Work Projects’ mandate is to create a forum for contemporary art and artists in Saskatchewan. 6. STUDIO LOCATION - type your studio address in the text field. If your studio is located outside the City of Saskatoon, please include directions and distance. If you don't have a studio space we can arrange an alternate meeting location.

The artist will retain all intellectual property rights therein and portfolio information shall remain the property of the artist. Portfolio submission does not guarantee that applicant will receive a studio visit.
